Have you ever wondered how the street beggars get to the CBD every single day? Some with wheel chairs while other just seated down waiting for good samaritans to give them a coin.
Some are always moved around by people who I though were their relatives, well, Nairobi shamba la mawe. Everyone is doing business and business must be done
10 years ago, Citizen TV did an expose about the street beggars, where they stayed and how they got to the CBD every morning.
A Tanzanian national, who resided in Umoja estate had brought in disabled Tanzanian children and made sure they brought money home. It was a business.
The street children would be dropped to the CBD every morning to beg for money from well wishers and taken back to Umoja every evening with at least Sh13,000 in total.
If calculated, the guy would make Kshs300,000 a month, untaxed.
