The current team playing advisory roles at State House.
The Office of the President is currently seeking to engage a team of senior consultants on an "as and when required" basis to support the implementation of the government's ambitious Bottom-Up Agenda.
In an executive order, the State House Comptroller announced that these consultants are essential for providing transformative advisories to strengthen the agenda, which has struggled to materialize since its inception in 2022. The initiative aims to enhance the livelihoods of Kenyans living below the economic threshold.
The consultants will be required across various sectors, including macroeconomics, microeconomics, household and welfare economics, agricultural economics (focusing on value chains and agricultural finance), and natural resource economics (encompassing energy, environment, and climate finance).
Additional sectors of need include industrial economics, legal and policy expertise in investment climate, ease of doing business, regulation, consumer protection, competition policy, property rights, climate action, biotechnology, creative industries, and the digital economy.
Qualified individual consultants are invited to submit their applications, ensuring only one application per area of specialization. Applicants must demonstrate their qualifications and relevant experience, provide evidence of assignments completed in the past ten years, and include a cover letter along with duly filled pre-qualification forms.
Applicants should hold a minimum qualification of an MA/MSc in Economics, Law (LLB), or related fields, with a PhD being an added advantage. A minimum of ten years of experience with a proven track record in research, policy analysis, and policy advisory, along with at least three publications, is required.
Pre-qualification application forms are available on the websites www.president.go.ke and https://www.tenders.go.ke, or can be obtained at the specified address. Incomplete forms or those not submitted in the prescribed manner will not be considered.
Applications should be enclosed in an envelope marked "Expression of Interest NO.SH/EOI/001/2024-2025" and the assignment title, and delivered to the State House administration building-Gate D, at the Tender Box located at Gate D, or the administration block conference room.
Submissions must be made by 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
