State House Live

The country is restless and skeptical. That is why we went for another address only three days after the New Year's address.

@Aviator if you take away people's purchasing power - through high taxation and inflation - industries, beginning with those dependent on disposable income, will shut down, laying off people who are the customers of some of us slum lords, leaving houses vacant, we fall back in servicing bank loans, raising risk for banks, who charge higher interest to cover the risk, making the credit unaffordable, meanwhile the ever hungry gava collects less taxes or if it's clueless it comes for your goats, pushing you back to the class of the needy - and Slum Lord and his tenant end up in Hooverville...
Alternatively, the president is setting the agenda for the new year and letting the country know what he is doing to address the challenges.

You can agree or disagree with the solutions he is giving.

Also, which are these taxes that have increased that would essentially reduce the purchasing power of the majority of Kenyans in the bottom of the pyramid? If anything the taxes I have seen fall under the "Rich Tax" bracket.

My answer to @Aviator was not about Kenya. It was about the theoretical economy in Wakanda.
Lakini kumbuka last year tulifunga nyumba za kuku.
