IEBC is just crying wolf
Funny, Chepkat does not say why 'the Smartmatic employees' had the stickers or why they needed to have them.

The election commission says three people working for a firm contracted to deploy technology during the upcoming polls were arrested without justification after landing in the country.
The three employees of Smartmatic International B.V. were arrested upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) from Venezuela, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) said in a statement Thursday evening.
IEBC said the three were placed in solitary confinement, “despite the commission CEO explaining to the security authorities that the three personnel were in the country to execute lawful contract relating to the deployment of technology in elections.”

The electoral agency further explained that, “the commission has a valid legal contract executed between itself and Smartmatic International B.V. for the supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, support and maintenance of the Kenya Integrated Election Management System.”
IEBC added: “The brazen decision of the security authorities to arrest, detain and confine in a solitary hideout the three personnel without justification, is an exhibition of intimidation on hardworking persons who are only keen to deliver a robust technology infrastructure for conduct of a credible, secure and verifiable election.

DRUMS OF WAR

IEBC is just crying wolf. Here's the full story.

This Chebukati fella has had a good 5 years to prepare. To dot all his "I's" and cross his "t's" after the nullification of the last presidential election in 2017.

What do we get? Peeks of unpreparedness in some areas. How hard is it to run an election? How hard is it to be pro-active rather than being reactionary? How hard is it to simulate, brainstorm, prepare for a general election in 5 years?

Case in point is the Sonko issue being on the ballot. These are things that the IEBC should have sort legal guidance in courts long before it actually happened.

What do they do in between those 5 years before a general election? For Chebukati I guess its ensuring his noggin is as shiny as possible when he makes his next appearance before cameras. Bure kabisa!

An election is a process: Maraga 2017 .

IEBC materials should be sealed as cargo not as personal stuff.
Do we even know what or how many 'stickers' they are talking about? It could be 2 or even a thousand. Maybe it is a sticker on a phone or gadget labeled IEBC.

Does the number matter? IEBC should do things in a way that builds confidence. Remember that we fought each other because of a disputed election. This IEBC ineptness and careless might become a security threat to our country. If they can't import stickers using the right procedure, how do you expect them to meet the "Maraga court" standards of electoral procedure strictness?

I don't understand why we still have Chebukati heading IEBC. He is incompetent and irresponsible.

Who would you trust to print election materials in Kenya? Jomo Kenyatta Foundation Publishers?
They can be done by anyone in River Rd as long as they have the capacity.
What would anyone do with a sticker to interfere with the election?
