AiB was ok until they got to that beach place with the flamboyant leader who's always in bath robes and then it kinda went to the sewers. I'm two episodes into Squid Game and I'm not feeling it yet.

Yep, what struck me as illogical is the people who participate in the game seeing other people killed and knowing that they are going to get slaughtered and not staging a coup, survival instinct would have kicked in

Ndio maana @mzeiya anawaambia ni social commentary juu it mimics what happens in real life.
Many governments and control bodies eg church, corporate setups literally do the same thing to their citizens, congregation, employees etc and nobody "stages a coup" or revolts against them.
 
Came home a bit drunk one evening in September. Was told I was persona non grata kwa bedroom. Nikachukua remote and chose this. Then I kept switching my attention to and fro hii kijiji on phone and the tv screen. Then the first shooting scene came on. Five minutes later kaweka simu chini. Slept five hours later. It reminds me of BB.
 
haven't watched it yet.
will watch when the hype is done and its really confirmed there is a season 2 or production starts for season 2. it annoys me when you invest in season 1 only to hear the show has been canceled.

just watched Snyders Justice League and it was out of this world. (they should have just waited till he was at peace with the loss to continue with the film) - when DC shows up, Marvel sits to watch.

will probably watch Squid game next year.

have you or anyone watched Resident Alien? (i found it very intersting) SYFY has some great unpopular shows. (sad they canceld Happy)

i think they should be given more time to ensure they bring the storyline well.
people complained that the 4 hours for Synders cut was too much but i didn't even notice the 4 hours as i was thoroughly entertained.
when they squeeze into 2 or 2 1/2 they cut off good plots

Not necessarily. Many superhero movies both DC and marvel have shown that you can tell a good story in a 2hr runtime.
Its just picking the right story and telling it.

Quite weird that no one in this kijiji has made mention of the biggest show currently.

Obviously, I know most TV show junkies must have watched the South Korean hit show already ahem ahem @Burner @Relic Hunter @Female Perspective @kijanamrefu @Mishale etc.

Anyway, the reason that I haven't posted this on the Entertainment section is that Squid Game is more of a social commentary show despite all the relatable memes and incredible records including being named the most successful debutant show on Netflix and being valued at approximately $1B!

I mean, the records speak for themselves and none more than the generic Google reviews;
