Wameru wamekataa kunywa fobe ! By the way what happened to kisumu brewery ?
Watu hununua pombe na disposable income. Uki-tax Kila kitu wako nayo biashara zitaanguka. Next kupotea ni kitu kinaitwa utamu wa kazi. People just wake up to sun selves like lizards, waiting to die. They'll have become despondent.
Let's be realistic my brother...we are approaching there rather fast. Wa kwanza watakuwa wanaboda (ambao hawapangwingwi!) ku-park nduthi kwa nyumba. Yesterday morning there was a standoff between the bodas and their customers in an estate here called Dallas when the bodas tried to increase fare by 20 bob to be 70 bob. The passengers wakasema hata kabla boda zije walikuwa wanatembea. About 50 youth walishinda kwa jua.Hope we don't reach that level .
Tema hayo mate !
Things are thick Mwalimu , nimepitia a Total petrol station hapa Eastern bypass and attendant wame kaa chini .It looks deserted unaweza fikiria ni petrol station iko somewhere remote .Attendant ananiambia job iko down .Let's be realistic my brother...we are approaching there rather first. Ndii and his boss' pata potea economics -tax everything as highly as you can while making credit very expensive - people are just buying the basic essentials.
A town like Embu - When farmers are not selling coffee and macadamia and others are uprooting tea, government departments have not received their first quarter office money, those who sell clothes and food (hotels) are hardly making any sales the whole day.
I know one who sells clothes in the market and instead of going daily - alipe boda to & fro, alipe kanjo market fee na alipe kuua wa kutoa mizigo kwa store na kurudisha (140+80+100) na saa hiyo hajakula lunch! - ameamua atakuwa akienda market days only (Wed na Sat) wakati kuna chances higher za kuuza. Someone who was employed is now only employed two out of seven days a week.
True, ukikumbuka wAkati waliongeza VAT against popular protests small petroleum dealers reported a 30 pc drop in sales. Na Sasa?Things are thick Mwalimu , nimepitia a Total petrol station hapa Eastern bypass and attendant wame kaa chini .It looks deserted unaweza fikiria ni petrol station iko somewhere remote .Attendant ananiambia job iko down .

What food? Leo nimenunua mahindi from a neighbour 4500. Sokoni ni 4800 and the prediction is that zitapanda. Those who, unlike me, cannot afford in bulk to store wataendelea kuumia. And now that diesel is up expect reduced acreage.I totally agree but 8month ago we were worse, we now have food Kioni and his sufurias tactics can't work . I remember visiting the plant in late 80s
But I saw kwa mitadao that the maize crop failed this year huko lare/bagaria coz the rains disappeared when maize was pollinating and needed moisture most? Na wanasema lare needs relief food coz there is zero harvest on farms.I totally agree but 8month ago we were worse, we now have food Kioni and his sufurias tactics can't work .
