Shida kubwa

Elections are approaching.Traditionally many governors hawatarudi. Which is good anyway because wote and I mean WOTE ni wakora!

Shida sasa ni pending bills. Suppliers wa counties wale hawalipwi. The incoming governors watasema special audit ya pending bills ifanywe which will take years to complete.

Kama hapa Kiambu pending bills ni 2Billion dating back to 2018!.

I have a friend who supplied a county millions in 2015. Yani he was crossing his fingers the governor gets reelected because alijua if he was sent home then deni yake ingekunywa maji.

Kuna shida kubwa.

That's why personally I say the demerits of devolution outweigh the merits. That's just me.

Those 47 counties should have been headed by CEOs and people with integrity. The likes of James Mwangi, akina James Mworia etc etc. Mimi ningepewa Siaya County.

Who would the CEOs report to? If they would report to uhuru, hio ingekuwa balaa chungu mzima

It's better they report to Uhuru than the current scenario where they report to nobody!.

If the constituents get dissatisfied with the service being offered by their CEO, they hold protests and ask him/her to be removed.

Nothing happened to the leader in the Kemsa billions, Mutahi reported corrupt people in his ministry who report to the head of civil service, who directly reports to Uhuru and nothing happened, just to mention a few.

Atleast the governors report to the Senate and are occasionally summoned for public hearing

I am of the opinion that we clamoured for the new katiba just to get rid of Moi. Now see what it got us...

In retrospect and in this era of political correctness, this video was in bad taste but this gentleman had a point,Kenyans needed to come back to their senses. The people decided...they better lie in the bed they made.

You are right. Sometimes I blame Kibaki. There was a time Kiraitu was headed to Moi's house in Karbanet gardens to repossess it. Kibaki told them to stop. Next thing is Moi being given title to that house.

They will all steal. But It is easier to fire a CEO than an elected governor.
