SafeBoda pauses its operations

SafeBoda has announced that they will pause its operations in Nairobi from 27th November after it was hit economically hard following the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a statement, the company says the decision was hard to make since it will negatively impact boda boda community riders.

Over 4,000 riders will be affected by the move.

Uganda and Nigeria operations continue.

Kenyans have been using the bodaboda app to delivery food stuff, for transportation of persons from one place to another at an affordable rate.

President Kenyatta had last month met boda boda riders and encouraging them to save up as they contribute millions in form of taxes to the country. Training of road safety in conjunction with NYS was also launched.
