Mimi nashangaa sana siku hizi. Eti sentient, logical people can try to excuse primitive, uncivilized behaviour by a bunch of tribal hooligans What does that say of us?

Raila has toured central and the rift without a single incident. No stones, no teargas.

But when other senior politicians try to tour his homebase, chaos. Think Wanjigi and Ruto. And we can somehow try to spin this? How now?

It's really, really sad and unfortunate because it betrays unforgivable bias. Will we call the Kalenjin primitive if they reply in kind? Will we call Rutos supporters in say MTK undemocratic if they zone off their areas?

I pride myself in calling things as they are, not as I want them to be. I am truly amazed that some of us can't do that.

And the truth is?

There is a certain primitivity that runs in some of 'our' people that is rooted in culture and custom. We are need to call it out.
