It hit me that it'd be next to impossible to give this guy a blackout because he had his hands in EVERYTHING! When you've written and produced for so many artists that you can be placed in the same league with Babyface and Quincy Jones, it's literally impossible NOT to somehow find yourself being relevant.
I have never been a fan of his own kusic (something about his voice and the way he carries his notes), but the man wrote even for Neo Soul artists at a time when that's all I listened to. I can't imagine not listening to Syleena Johnson but at the same time, her songs were kind of ruined when I paid attention to the lyrics and heard R. Kelly's "language" in there ... Like when she says in "I'm Your Woman" that she's been with her man since she was 16 and was woman enough to let him raise her ... Yeesh! Creepy sh!t man.
But how do we even start with him? How do we give this dude a blackout when he is "the R in RnB"? Atleast MJ rolled alone and I can actualy say I was never really a fan of his either and it's possible to go without listening to anything he touched.
