Rironi - Mau Summit Dualling Project

I am not a Futurama fan .
Yesterday I had an opportunity to travel from Nairobi to Eldoret and I was eager to see the works along the proposed project . There are only three areas which seems to have been touched .
Limuru - The Swamp area .
Gil Gil area
Mau Summit

All three areas just have the top soil heaped and I didn't see any equipment onsite except one excavator near Mau Summit . Knowing how CBRC works I was expecting some major excavation and numerous tippers hauling the top soil . This made me ask my self so many questions . What necessitated a rushed launch knowing very well the activity would not be much .

According to people in the know, no contract has been signed as yet. I guess the launch was supposed to generate wide publicity around December festivities. If you noticed, any coverage of the usual accidents and traffic congestion along that road never failed to mention the launch.

Then people died in the grand scheme of things.

Sad manze.

The contractor has not even fully mobilized and you are already complaining? Maybe have some patience.

I will be patient and optimistic.
My question is what's the reason for launching it before the contractors are ready - to the best of my knowledge the project is being done by two contractors.

If that happened your complaint would be, why isn't the government building the road?
Along this project there will be 12 sites. That means more equipment and more labor. If you follow the Kenya Port Authority twitter page you would see that equipment coming into the country.
