#RejectFinanceBill2024

I have never been worried about the future of this country than tonight.
1. The president and those mpigs lack situational awareness. The crowd kept breaching every security barrier and they thought they won't breach parliament?
2. Though the youths have spoken, our economic troubles have not been solved. How will we get out of debt hole without extra taxation? The debt profile shows we were to take at least 10 yrs to be fully self reliant. You are all witness what the debt burden can do, when USD-ksh was 160. Even if Ruto resigns today, how will the next leader solve the debt crisis? People like being told what makes them happy, but thr truth is there is no way out except looking for extra money, locally.

Stop stealing the money. There's a limit to how much you can take from citizens without making them despondent.
Corruption must be budgeted, hiyo nayo ni lazima. They used billions to campaign, how else will they get their money back? Who invests without expecting returns?

Personally i underestimated the magnitude of the anger these young people have. I saw it first hand yesterday. We have a big problem. This is not going to end well.
They are not blind. They see govt officials living lavishly and throwing cash around on the media, yet they barely know how they'll survive to year end. And are being squeezed even more by the same govt. Before elections they were sold heaven on earth by the same people

Things are very thick and sad.

Campaigns should not be a form of investment as we know it, but an investment in terms of service delivery to those that put you in office. Until we get to that point of service delivery, then these kind of things will always resurface.

Education, health, immigration, passports, pension, Agriculture, manufacturing, ease of doing business... All those services are all in shambles.....

It very sad.

When I saw them on kalonzo handle telling him to shut up I knew we have a problem on our hands they are determined to "reclaim" the country

You borrowed a system where it's the masses who fund the party/campaigns. On the contrary, it's the party/politicians that give money to the masses here. There is no Father/Mother, or brother Theresa in Kenya. That money they dish to the public comes from somewhere. I have repeatedly said Kenya has lots of problems, but democracy/elections should be the least of our priorities. Kwanza hungry/commoners should never be allowed near a voting booth without vetting.
