Saw @owaah say the same thing and thought it didn't add up. Makes sense with your explanation.

Interesting. So somalis starting living in Eastleigh because they were shamba boys for the horses?
 
The question is, why did they stop racing horses
Maybe it was moved to Ngong racecourse where they still race horses to date. Or that existed independently. I can see Ngong racecourse working better for them because it is closer to Karen where a lot of them lived.
