Question of the Day: What's the Funniest Thing You Believed as a Kid?

We used to be told if we removed our tooth we should throw it in the bush and say, "squirrel come pick it up and give me a new tooth in exchange." In case you didn't throw it and your tooth delayed in re-growing, the committee would say its because you didn't give it to the squirrel.

We also believed if you threw cold water to the tornado like spinning winds it would explode and snake would appear.
 
In primary school we had a boy who used to suffer epileptic fits.
We were told that if he farted while having a fit and you smelt the fart you would also catch epilepsy.
You should have seen how fast we used to skatara every time he went down with a fit!.....

Looking back now I know it was just a way to get kids away from him to allow him enough oxygen.
