Boda Boda Operators Stage a Demonstration
The Boda Boda of Igembe south on Thursday engaged police into a running battle as they barricaded Maua -Meru road with rocks, logs and burnt tyres.
The running scuffle took around one hour before the rowdy youths were dispersed by the police officers.
The operators accused the area MP, John Paul Mwirigi for failing to give them a million shilling which they were merely a day ago by the deputy president William Samoei Ruto to boost their business,
Speaking to the members of press the chairman of Maua Boda Boda operators Karithi Kinyua maintained that the MP got 1 Million Kenyan shillings from the DP to boost their business which he has not so far given them.
