It makes a dj say he didn't see who shot him, because his next meal, clothing and shelter comes from the man who shot him.

Money = Power

A popular man once said that if the punishment of a crime is a fine, and you are wealthy, then wealthy people are free to commit certain crimes.

There is information for the masses and for the classes. Saa hii kuna high table huwezi kaa bila annual membership fee ya 0.36M, at least five important contacts (verified), 40 years minimum age, na stable family. Na hapo the hardest part ni kupata hao 5 important verifiable contacts outside the group to vouch for you and the group decides whether or not your contacts are useful. They don't have to be super wealthy themselves but must be useful to the table e.g a surgeon, MP/politician, OCPD/county commissioner, owner of a reputable law firm, a senior accountant/auditor at the big four firms or with his own reputable firm, bank branch manager, a major property contractor, etc.

Nonsense.

Kenya is a lawless society led by thieves, charlatans, prostitutes, pretenders, crooks etc that will today congregate at church pretending to be pious.

The crime Babu Owino committed was attempted murder. On CCTV. He should be cooling his heels in a jail cell awaiting trial in any functional society, which Kenya is not.

I didn't say that he is innocent you moron. I also didn't support his actions.

Eventually you people will have to take the law into your own hands. Run somebody over in the parking lot of their favourite club. Go to their offices pretending to negotiate and pump five bullets into their brain. You will have to do it yourself because most guns for hire fear these VIPs. If you think what I'm saying is far fetched or unrealistic, just remember you have a better chance of succeeding with those plans than receiving justice from the courts and police.

@Azor Ahai you're an idiot that always thinks you're smarter or tries to project yourself in a class that you don't belong. Without understanding the fundamentals.

Your statement - Money = Power.

Lay that as a premise for your argument.

Not everyone that has money seeks power. However it does give them access to power. It also does not mean or should not mean having money and access to power means circumventing the law when it is broken. Reread your post.

Why do I even bother. Idiot. Enda tafuta wababaz wakununulie Pilsner.

Shinda hapo with your moronic theories. Kwa ground vitu ni different. When you untwist your samosa underwear and start living in reality, you will understand. Babu will walk free.

Sometimes I wonder why you goofs argue against reality that happens in your face. The world doesn't operate how you'd wish it to. Hizi theories na FUNDAmentals tell your nyanye.

Ad hominem attacks. Ukishindwa na argument unaanza matusi.

Enda kunywa Pilsner bila kusumbua brownskin.

That's the only solution because currently in this shithole country, you can't get justice in the courts

Making the best out of a bad situation. What choice would you make between letting the offender take care of your needs in your sick state or dying in poverty and agony as you wait for 10 years for the law to jail him for 3 years, assuming you can survive that long in your state ?

When I had another look at that video I realized that it can actually acquit the suspect, given that one cannot really make out who is doing what to whom. Who is the victim? Is he even visible? Is that video conclusive proof that the perpetrator is discharging a weapon or even a gun?

Who are the witnesses? We know in this craphole anyone with money has already intimidated or paid them off. Can the victim ever count on them? That video needs witnesses who can corroborate the account.

Given the above we must ask ourselves, what realistic chance does the victim have to get Justice in the current circumstances? What re his options? 1) Reject any kind of support and hope that a corrupt system will use an inconclusive footage (and threatened witnesses) to convict a wealthy person who wields considerable amount of power in society?; or 2) Accept the support and remain in good terms with the accused, which probably further weakens the already weak case, and keep his fingers crossed, if he can even do so, and hope that upon the conclusion of the case to the advantage of the accused, he will keep his end of the bargain, and not terminate the support he has been giving?

Not an easy choice.

I'm not sure if the cctv footage is admissible in court as evidence tying the member of parliament and the disc jockey, however, the ballistics report definitely shows the firearm discharge and the registered owner and the p3 medical form shows the end result of the discharge.
What they have is an ADR whereupon the victim, in order to save his own life and secure his family had his options limited.

Well that is a good point, however this is a nation where almost everyone can be bought. You do remember the cop caught live on camera, shooting live bullets at protesters somewhere in Kisumu. He thereafter was seen ruthlessly kicking and stomping on the bodies he’d just shot.

I think one of those protesters died from a gunshot. The cop was arrested after public outcry, but later on it appears the evidence was tampered with, the bullet could no longer be linked with the gun it was fired from, the officer walked free.

Now there we had video evidence, very clear, incontrovertible. But there was just enough doubt (with fatigue and helmet it was not possible to visually identify the exact officer firing the gun). The video in this case isn’t as inculpatory. You marry that with the powerful status of the accused, and a system that lacks integrity the outcome is obvious.

In that case it was just a mundane police officer. In this case, it’s a lawmaker, who has powerful connections, suitcases full of money, and a ruthless, merciless disposition.

What chance does a lowly deejay have?

None at all, I read in the Waki Commission that there was a bit of play involving the gun registration. And I can imagine the movement of the weapons at the post election violence was on a daily basis, but the MP has his only registered to his own person. If he had a chance to squirm out of it he would have done so like the cocaine pictures, but the point of catering to the medical fees of the victim shows you how that wasn't possible.
