The truth is there's a slight shift in favour of Babuon. If he picks Martha as DP and then the MTK mafioso deploy their billions (remember the JP campaign was so liquid mpaka we had T-shirts for dogs and chickens?) halafu they harp on Kiambaa, Muteshi, Ruai, the Jirongo-witnessed murder, etc etc Ruto will be toast.

Half my own buddies are starting to contemplate a Babuon-MWK ticket given the possibility of an act of God a few months later, an act which could be expedited if need be...

Nope. Ruto needs 90%+ of Central and a very high turnout. Below that it's kaput for him.

If you reduce Raila's numbers in the three Ukambani counties to 30%, reduce his numbers in Nyamira to 50% and reduce his numbers in the 4 western counties to 70%, Ruto will lose by 972,000 votes is he gets only 50% of Mt. Kenya.

You can confirm this from the official August 2017 results per county.
