A police Corporal has found himself in hot soup after he woke up and found his young lover dead under unclear circumstances.
Cpl. Tony Kioko woke up on Saturday , October 31st 2020 and found the body of his 20 year old lover Damaris Kimanza allegedly seated on a chair with part of it leaning towards the dinning table.
It is reported that the deceased paid a visit to the officer on Friday , October 30th 2020, in the wee hours of the night precisely 4am and sat on the chair but they never talked to each other.
However, the lady who was allegedly intoxicated found the officer asleep and she reportedly sat on a chair next to the dining table for the rest of the night.
On the morning of the following day, Saturday October 31st, the officer was shocked to find the lady in a critical condition.
*"In the morning at around10:00 hours, the said officer woke up and found the deceased still sitting on the chair leaning on the table while her clothings were reportedly wet and muddy," police said in a report.*
On examining her, he found out that the deceased had what he referred to as some bruises on the face and she was looking unconscious prompting him to rush her to Muthale Mission Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body is still lying at the facility morgue awaiting post mortem.
The officer has since been seized and put in custody by DCI homicide detectives for further questioning to enable them unravel the mystery Sarrounding the death of the young woman.
Men in blue uniform being suspects in murder cases have been rife in the recent past.
This comes barely a day after another cop was arrested for allegedly shooting dead his colleague over suspected bribe cash they had allegedly received from coffee thieves at a coffee factory they were guarding.
