Police approves DP Ruto's fundraising event

Deputy President fundraising event that is stated for Thursday this week has been permitted, police now say.

Nyamira OCS confirmed the authenticity of the letter, saying there were early miscommunications about the same.

The 'letter' follows a directive issued by National Security Advisory Committee last week after two were killed ina chaotic Muranga visit by the DP.

Last week, the DP postponed the Nyamira events following consultations with the local leaders after police dispersed a gathering saying they were not permitted to hold the event.

Over the weekend, several gatherings organised by the DP's allies were cut short by the police over the permit reasons, as the same time, the Agikuyu elders were installing Raila Odinga as President Kenyatta's successor.

Yesterday, the IG Hillary Mutyambai dismissed claims that police were conducting a selective dispersion across the country following complains by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen

Ile game DP anacheza, slow and deliberate, yet very dangerous. They insult him ati anatangatanga, he takes it graciously, they call him karani, he turns it into a weapon, they refuse him to hold fundraisers, anatii. I bet he is waiting ile siku atakuwa 5th, Kibicho and Super Chieth watalilia kwa choo.
