This is terrible news.
The man epitomised everything that any budding artiste should emulate. He was humble, stuck to his roots and brought us unforgettable moments of laughter.
I'll never forget the brrrrrrcha ad for Coca-Cola for the 2010 World Cup when the producer of the Idi Amin movie wished he had met the man earlier to play the role.

Rest in Peace.

Citizen TV actor Charles Bukeko popularly known as Papa Shirandula is dead. According to the family, Shirandula died at the Karen Hospital where he has been receiving treatment since Monday. The family, however, could not disclose the cause of his death, saying they will wait for the report from the hospital where he passed on. "They have not given us the details. We are waiting for the hospital's report but he was just unwell," Alice Atamba, Bukeko's sister-in-law said. Bukeko rose to fame when he was cast to play the role of Papa Shirandula in the popular TV series Papa Shirandula which aired on Citizen TV. It is this show that made him a household name in Kenya and earned him the name Papa or Papa Shirandula. Since then, he has appeared in several other TV shows such as The Captain of Nakara (2012). Papa has also appeared in numerous big-time commercials across the world including Coca Cola and GOTV. He is survived by wife Beatrice Andega, and three children namely Tony, Charlie and Wendy.

If there's anyone here who listens, if you feel the symptoms creeping on you, start steaming with vicks every 2hrs and take the ginger, lemon honey mix and garlic, take in lots of vegetable and fruits, your body will fight this thing.
Also if you can access an expectorant, anti biotic and nasal drops.
Do breathing exercises and don't sleep all the time, try and walk as you exercise your breathing.
Hata kama kwa nyumba, walk walk walk...
Clean and change your bedding.
Pillow case clean and change daily.
Stay safe. Don't touch your face, mask up and wash wash wash

Very sad news. MHSRIP.

By the way this is why am on Admin's ass on the trolls who are making fun of Covid. This thing is no joking matter, and if the imbecilic messaging by the likes of Ngima confuse just a few people then we'll have blood on our hands.

Once again, may my fellow Langata RIP.
