Dear sir,
Receive my congratulations for clinching the top post during the last elections. You fought a long tough battle. You resonated with majority of Kenyans, and that is why they gave you their votes. Do not let them down.
Over the past few days, you have come out strongly against special police squads. This is well understandable considering that one of them, the SSU, allegedly abducted and killed two of your IT specialists from India and one of our hustlers. I really don't know what they had done to deserve being killed, but killing our hustler was wrong. It is for this reason that I support you on this.
I however want to address you regarding some other faceless squads operating under the alias "Hessy from somewhere". Whatever you do, don't touch those ones. Where we live, ordinary police officers are unable to deal with crime. Either they are compromised and in bed with criminals, or they are too cowardly to tackle them. The police we see around only collect levies from pubs and matatus. Beyond that,we do not know their work.
But then there are the special ones. We had one in Githurai by the name Katitu. That guy was our hero. Unfortunately, someone in the high seat at judiciary felt that he had overstepped his mandate and jailed him for 15 years just because he killed a dangerous criminal before the court would release the same criminal on bail. You saw us demonstrating after our hero, Katitu, was arrested. I will tell you that since then, crime in Githurai is at dangerous levels.
Then there's Hessy wa Dandora and Hessy wa Kayole. Those ones, don't dare touch them. They are our only trusted policeman/women. You see st. William, whenever we report a crime to the police at the station, the police alert those criminals and tell them who made the report. The criminals then come for us. In the unlikely event that the criminal is arrested and presented in court, they are let free on bond because it is their right. They come back and continue terrorizing us. We love Hessy coz they serve instant justice. No bullshit. And that is the only practical way in our country considering that our courts are too lenient and enthusiastic to grant bail even where evidence is clear.
So, once again St. William of Sugoi, don't touch our beloved Hessy. Deal with those who do high-profile murders for the sake of politics or money. Those really don't concern us. But don't touch Hessy. Those are our saviour.
Good day Mtukufu Rais.
