Health CS Mutahi Kagwe in a statement has today announced 711 new Covid-19 cases. 6,672 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
The country’s total caseload rises to 83,316. Out of the new cases, one year old was the youngest case while a 92 year old was the oldest.
Nairobi county leads with 190 cases followed by Mombasa which recorded 88 cases.
Nakuru county has 78, Nyandarua 35, Murang'a 34, Kitui 30, Machakos 28, Nyeri 27, Embu 25, Busia 21, Kiambu 17 and Vihiga 16 cases.
Fortunately, 576 patients have recovered from the virus bringing the total number of recoveries to 54,975.
7 patients have succumbed to the disease bringing the total number of fatalities to 1,452
