Omicron and Kids

My observation ( not based on statistics) is that this Omicron variant of COVID is affecting kids more than the previous variants. I've visited the kids section of the two major hospitals in Nairobi and the admission is higher than usual.

Omicron has mutated so vastly scientists say it looks and behaves like a new virus completely.

This isn't wholly unexpected, if anything it was predicted. such pathogens are known to dull their fatality while increasing in contagiousness which keeps the tribe alive for longer.

Unfortunately, it may still be lethal for those with compromised immunity and the elderly so such people should mask up and get a vaccinated
