If it is true yUDA has spent the 1.2B that is being thrown around then they've spent 240K per vote, making this the most expensive unsuccessful campaign ever.

As we go into 2027, Kasongo starts with a heavy anvil around his neck because now the cash expectations from him is so high and he can't withhold without losing seriously.
Let's make his vote hunt very expensive.

There's an underlying anger so deep accompanied by a new wokeness. I don't see how yUDA can turn the tide in the remaining 12 months. Furthermore, some of the corrections needed in government require reforms for which there's simply no time.
The genie unleashed by the GenZ protests in 2024 is still out and about whispering to the youth and their mothers. The murders of GenZ protestors has left gaping wounds in the hearts of mothers especially. We have heard their reason for wanting Kasongo gone.
The image of masked men shooting from sunroofs Wild West style in Ol Kalou yesterday did Kasongo more harm than good.
Further, the emergence of the goons culture in recent times has spawned the new militarism that made unarmed civilians even challenge policemen to open their personal bags for firigisheni . This militarism will grow as long as the threat of goons is felt.
There's a serious trust deficit in government. This has made it very easy to unravel any Kasongo narratives. The result is increasingly visible frustration in government with the president himself often emerging as irritable and garullous in recent times.
When you also note that Kasongo never translated from the rubble rouser hustler campaigner to the more stately father of the nation, then you realize why he and the office have failed to command due respect. Then there's the dishonesty and half-baked programmes.
Someone asked me to name at least one positive thing Kasongo has done and, let's be honest, I couldn't think of anything that's not problematic.
Kama ni housing - 300 units completed in Embu in 2024 are all vacant - no buyers- yet we continue to allocate scarce budgetary resources and tax poor workers for more.
