I think it has become clear that people come on here to find solitude and pour out their hearts and minds where nobody can judge them.

We have become accustomed to being told and telling cold hard truths with utmost honesty and we are able to absorb it and probably change or solidify our perceptions and thoughts without discouraging guys.

But what then, is the matter with the downvote or dislike button, why is it worse than anything else we encounter?

Anyways @admin maybe you should put up a poll and hear what people have to say about it? Whether it should remain or go!

Yesterday a thread I was actively engaged in Malaysiad for no good discernible reason.
There were no insults or use of bad language whatsoever.
Am yet to figure out which fragile ego waa offended.

some admins hapa wako na umama. Even safisha mesho is not allowed here. This site is on a downward spiral

i think it is better than telling one his post/comment is umeffi or calling him kihii which i find distasteful.
 
The dislike button isn't necessarily bad but it waters down on meaningful conversations without providing a discourse; kitu imesemwa hapo juu. It, therefore 90% serves as a trolling tool instead of allowing dissenting opinions to be aired.
Even Scriptures declare "Come, let us reason together..."

Hata /r/GoneWild to share an image you have to be verified first as the image owner. Also, some of you share such images then lie of how you slept with those women. Some members then share links of those posts with the ladies and it gives the site bad PR. Banning the sharing of images of women without their consent has never led to a downward spiral of a website.

It isn't always necessary to explain everything. A comedian knows that his jokes are bad through the absence of laughter, or disapproving boos.
