Nyumba za Matope

On a serious note, we take some things for granted such as nyumba simple that we have here. Shida ni ati we don't like being creative and turning simple houses into masterpieces.

Pale majuu keja ya mbao ni a fancy log cabin na interior huwa imeweza.

In nyeri I have sn houses built with similar bricks.
Your should also check out rammed earth style of building which is an improved version of the building a mad/dirt house

Yaani main material is mixed on-site. Hakuna kuchezwa na watu wa lorry za mawe.

Sustainability is going to be the keyword in almost all things very soon.
For now, kuna watu wanaona tu ni kama it's some meaningless buzz-word but that's where the World is heading

As we speak an architect pal is building his rural house in kwale using a combination of rammed earth and river rock.....it's stunning.
I also know of a school which is in the design stages whose main building material will be rammed earth.
In Africa Ghanaians are slowly but surely embracing the technology.
