Nurse who gave birth in hosp succumbs

Marian Awuor Adumbo, a nurse working at Rachuonyo Sub County Hospital was admitted at Homabay County Hospital with flu-like symptoms in pregnancy, where she tested negative for Covid-19. She developed breathing complications and was transfered to Kisii Teaching and Referal Hospital where another test was done and the result was positive for COVID-19. Further tests for Covid-19 were done with the latest result coming out last Thursday turning negative.
Marian gave birth to a baby boy while still on treatment.
She had continued to receive high dependency care including oxygen augmentation.
Unfortunately her condition worsened, and today at 4pm she passed away from COVID-19 Complications leaving behind her baby who is slightly over a week old.
May her soul rest in peace.

Ata kama test ilikuwa negative bado anahesabiwa kama mtu wa corona. She probably had a treatable disease lakini wakamuwachilia akufe tu!
