Ni kujipanga, myfrens

Okay, naona hapo kwa background they are referring gathíka as GMO. We have been fed with that thing in my primary school days. Was it GMO? If so, then GMO is welcome.
You can alter some genes and still maintain the phenotype. It doesn't mean it is the same organism.

That's not what they mean. It is just that North Americans mainly grow yellow.
I googled and found 99% of the yellow maize produced is GMO, except the one from Ukraine and mexico. That could be as of now. GMO maize in States dates back to '94. It's possible that thing were fed was pure GMO.
And not just maize, but also soy floor. They disappeared immediately Narc came to power

Leta tweet/press release ya WFP wakisema mahindi ni yao. At one time bloggers were telling us the maize was froom Singapore. Singapore!
A casual search brought this NTV story from jana.

Singapore being the 2nd busiest port in the World might be the last port of call but mimi sijui so, we can only speculate. The truth eventually will be known.

Haha...litsen to kiburi.

Govt must buy maize from them, just the way it buys coffee, potatoes, tomatoes etc. at a price dictated by the respective famers. At 7k, that means a packet of maize floor will cost a min of ksh 220, for another year.

Why must they be subsidized while everyone else is being weaned off subsidies?

If it's about protecting local producers, then we must have a minimum and a maximum price. We protect them when there is over production and they protect us is when there is underproduction.

Urafiki Gani huu, wa mwisho ya mwezi?
