new cabinet

The 'unknowns' ie technocrats elicit excitement with what they will bring on board. However, the political appointees are a disappointment especially those with ongoing cases which are serious in nature. Others like Chirchir, Mvurya and Wahome rouse no emotion so we can treat them like wildcards. Overall happy to have someone else at the helm of Sports and Tourism.

I couldn't care less about that. Gender parity is sanctimonious political bullshite. Competence is everything regardless of your gender.

On the gender thing I'm with you.

What about this issue?

Aisha Jumwa that did her Masters before doing her Bachelor's degree. Akin to completing standard/class 3 and going back to nursery or kindergarten. 😁😁

Kenya ni nchi ya maajabu.

Hehe...such things mean very little to me. How will her level of education enable her gender and affirmative action docket. Will she be doing a bit of calculus? If she was appointed in Treasury I would be the loudest complainer. 😆

I really don't find a problem with politicians perse. Kibaki was using them and that's why we had people like Michuki, and saitoti who I considered performers. Again, hao technocrats find it hard to explain govt policies. Shida ni kuappoint idiots like jumwa, crooks like linturi, and so many people currently serving as MPs.

Juzi I litsened to an interview with Manduku, currently serving as Kitutu Masaba MP. @Aviator once said he was his classmate. Buana, that is one of the brightest guy I have ever heard. I have no problem with such people being CSes

People like David Ndii would make poor CS's. Technocrats should work in the back offices guiding policy. The role of a CS is just to communicate the policy and guide the team but also have a bit of wit. People like Matiangi and Maghoha were lacking in leadership qualities.
