Nature correcting itself. The Corona virus

Kabuda

Elder Lister
Life post the second world war has been a breeze especially in the Western world.
What, with people living longer, the rich getting away with exploiting the majority poor etc...

For the longest time, humans thought that they are self sufficient and that they had conquered Nature.

We forgot God.
And God is Nature.

Now we're paying for our arrogance.

If it wasn't the extinction of the dinosaurs for the non religious, then the Bible will tell you that Nature has always punished arrogance.

And that is the quagmire we find ourselves in in the year 2020.

Nature is just correcting itself and by the time it's done with us, we as a human race will have been humbled into acknowledging that we are nothing but subjects of a higher being.

A higher being that created us and the world and everything in it.

That there is God.

Now we're paying for our arrogance.

If it wasn't the extinction of the dinosaurs for the non religious, then the Bible will tell you that Nature has always punished arrogance.
Yes...those arrogant dinosaurs with their sharp teeth and big bones; stomping about the place with their "look at me" superiority and refusing to recognize God.
He sure showed them!

You got your thong in a twist.
I was only trying to separate the non believers from the believers.
Even if you don't believe in God, then you most probably acknowledge that dinosaurs did exist and are now extinct thanks to an asteroid or the big bang theory etc...
However you want to look at it, the pointers are to a supernatural power that reigns above all we know and understand.
I like to call it God.

So the only way an all mighty being is able of getting his subjects to remember him is by ending their existence?
Yes.
But it's your prerogative to believe in God or not.
Let's not dwell any longer on this subject because I am not a missionary trying to preach the gospel.
The mission is not to convert, the mission is to inform.

Otherwise?.....

In your attempt to seperate believers from non-believers, stick to the facts. Bringing up dinosaurs going extinct as a punishment from god/nature is erroneous because you infer that either
1. dinosaurs were sentient enough to be arrogant in their belief of a supernatural;
2. There were people around at the time who were arrogant in their belief of god.
One of these is factually wrong, and the other you have no possible way of showing to be true.

The pointers are to a natural occurrence. There is nothing about a rock slamming into the earth that requires a supernatural element to it. It happens every fucking day and it is mundane common occurrence. People add a supernatural element/explanation to things which happen all the time.

Why are you talking of dinosaurs since in the bible, its not acknowledged that they existed?

According to the bible, God created the world in 7 days (bible doesnt even acknowledge the solar system or galaxy) and put Adam and Eve on it (clearly negetting the fact that for a species like ours to propagate, it takes more than 2 to tango). He didnt put dinosaurs on it or even our homo habilis or homo erectus ancestors.

My brudda, decide whether you wanna follow the bible or science and dont try to place dinosaurs in the context of the bible bcoz you are simply trying to merge the bible with science so as to continue to propagate the ignorance taught in the bible as fact

This nonsense about God bla bla should be banned. It is to blame for about 97.8321789% of the world's problems including alShetani, Isis, Boko Haram, etc

We kubali ukishindwa in an argument, the other members have clearly pointed out the flaw in your assertions

I was not only misunderstood, I was maliciously misinterpreted.
It is an attempted coup on my intelligence and a character assassination..
But issorait....
Don't worry, we got your point, nature is correcting itself and that the important part to note, wachana na hawa wabishi... They'll argue on everything.
If you doubt God's existence deal with it, go try create life not even a thing big, just a tiny fly, then come back and tell us your views.

There are 2 possible scenarios here and tell me if you agree with them :
1. There is a god who exists and is the reason and creator of all life or;
2. There is no god but life came into existence. regardless

Now if I try to create life, "just a tiny fly" and I succeed or fail, what conclusions can I draw based from the two scenarios above?
they would be:
1. Based on scenario 1, I tried to create life but since god is the creator, I either succeeded or failed based on his will; or
2. based on scenario 2, I failed or succeeded in creating life.

Either way, I cannot tell anything about god's existence because the conclusions are indistinguishable from each other.
If there are any other possible scenarios or conclusions that you can draw, please let me know.

Alot if intelligent words but create a fly first then come we continue with the conversation.

Its absolutely unnerving isn't it? when you cant rationalise something that challenges your convictions?
Not really actually, because you haven't answered the challenge presented, you analyzed ahead with what ifs and ignored the initial challenge.

And you failed to understand from my answer is that my success or failure would not do anything to show whether a god exists or not.
Lets take it step by step..and for the sake of this conversation, give me this hypothetical.
Lets say I do manage to create life from just a bunch of chemicals in a laboratory. What does that tell you about whether a god exists?
