National Prayer Day; DP in attendance

President Kenyatta on Wednesday this week announced that October 9th through to 11th will be dedicated to pray for the country. The prayer requests are: to fight the pandemic, corruption and to have a peaceful country.

The president also urged even citizen to pray for the country during the Sunday services now that churches were re-opened.

Today marks the second day of the prayers and President Uhuru Kenyatta together with first lady Margaret Kenyatta had led inter-faith leaders at State House for National prayers.

Tanzania president John Pombe Magufuli also urged his fellow citizens to join Kenyans during the prayers.

Deputy President is also in attendance. He postponed his Nyamira fundraising drive that was slated for this weekend after consultations with the local leaders.

Last weekend while the DP was in Muranga county, the visit turned chaotic and two lives were lost.

It will be remembered that DP snubbed the Covid-19 Conference held at KICC despite being invited and for him showing up at State House for the Prayer Day has sparked reactions. His supporters have expressed mixed reactions following events that have happened at Jubilee Party.

Jubilee SG Raphael Tuju in a press conference said that Ruto was no longer considered the deputy party leader after he sanctioned the opening of Jubilee Asili Centre.

Uhii, uvisi, ugui, uhere, wana mutheri, and an exercise in futility. One hand is organizing gangs to cause violence to the very people you are entitled to protect, the other is leading his family and cronies in looting, and the mouth is noisy with all supplications. I mean, tuache kujindanganya. Arohīa nda agīshūnga

after the last prayer day in March, we witnessed Kenyan being evicted at night and during the early curfew hours, Kenyans being clobbered, and the theft of COVID billions.

lets see what happens this time round. ( is it a case of repenting/asking for forgivness of sins that are about to be commited?)
