I'm inclined to side with the insurance provider here because of the reputation the hospital has gained regarding overcharging.

I believe medical insurance fraud is easier to catch than motor vehicle due to the few no. of players. Lakini since the rot extends to the insurance companies themselves, kickbacks and all, they just pass the cost to the client, making insurance premiums expensive and their industry very small

Its the other way round. Medical insurance is harder to catch. IRA reports since 2013 show very few medical fraud cases being reported showing how difficult it is to detect one. Ive audited a number of insurance compnies and they would say medical sio mchezo.
