Power was subsidised. Uhunye claimed that they were fixing structural issues but kama kawaida he just put a calendar to hide the ugly crack in the wall. That is why the prices shot up almost immediately.

The deal with Ethiopia is so important. Although we are apparently paying 7 bob, how much do we pay IPP?

If we can somehow break these contracts and replace them with what we are getting from Ethiopia in the short term, how much cheaper could power get?
