Mzungu na Ubanguzi

Isn’t it ludicrous how the Mzungu clamours to be the sole initiator, discoverer and originator of anything worthwhile.
Mzungu doesn’t sit comfortable when another race comes up with a transformative initiative.
It really irks, pisses them off and irritate them that other races can come forth with ideas and proposals which can change and improve humanity.

We all know how discoveries by coloured peoples are easily stolen, claimed and racially owned by Bazungu. Have a look at the beauty industry for instance. Mzungu never had beauty and hair products till Black women discovered them.
Today, Bazungu controls and dominates this industry worldwide.

I am ranting about all this because of some news I watched on TV where some Bazungu news agencies deliberately cropped out from a group photo a Ugandan Environmental Activist, leaving the Bazungu women intact and show-casing them as the face of International Environmental Movement.

Why do such a stupid thing? Are they scared of the African voices in the Environmental Campaign, whereby we emit the least but suffer the worst environmental catastrophes?

I once posted similar sentiments but in general sense and focusing more on historical facts that have been subdued by the white savior narrative.

My unending fascination with our past greatness came out of curiosity after listening to Nas's song 'I can' back in 2003 that included the lines

Our people face ignorance as their greatest enemy without realising it.

In my view , we already know how mzungu is.
My question remains why do Africans seek mzungu affirmation .
Why don’t africans invest in innovations?
Why do we always wait for mzungu to come solve our problems?
Why do we oppress our own people through corruption and theft of public resources ?
What’s already done in the past , only education and awareness can change our perceptions.
Media can help in this .
