SUBJECT: INCIDENT REPORT. REF MY OB 16/18/1/21 AT 15.45 HRS THAT OCCURRED AT MURICHU SECONDARY SCHOOL AND REPORTED THROUGH PHONE BY THE PRINCIPAL MR. MOSES GITAHI THAT A STUDENT HAD ATTACKED A TEACHER AT THE SCHOOL. POLICE VISITED THE SCHOOL AND ESTABLISHED THAT THE TEACHER ON DUTY MR. JAMES GIKONYO WAS AT THE DINING AREA CONTROLLING STUDENTS FOR LUNCHTIME QUEUE WHEN HE REPRIMANDED A STUDENT WHO HAD JUMPED THE QUEUE. BUT THE STUDENT ONE SAMUEL MIGWI MUIGAI K/M/J AGED 20 YEARS AND A FORM-3 NORTH STUDENT FOLLOWED HIM TO THE COMPUTER LAB AND ATTACKED HIM, ASSAULTING HIM BY USE OF BLOWS BEFORE HE WAS RESCUED BY FELLOW TEACHERS PRESENT IN SCHOOL. ACCUSED STUDENT ARRESTED AND ESCORTED TO NDARAGWA POLICE STATION.ALL NECESSARY STATEMENTS RECORDED AND TEACHER ADVISED TO GO TO HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT. CASE PBC

hehe kama mwalimu you should be ready to deal with such incidences from day one, he was simply attacked because the students know he can be beaten.

For any teacher, the MO when you join a new institution is to look to the biggest baddest student and show them war to set a trend from day one that you should never be messed around with

For purposes of criminal proceedings, I think, there is what is commonly referred to as age of majority. In most jurisdictions that is normally after attaining 18 year. When this occurs, a defendant is said to have full legal capacity and is therefore answerable for all criminal acts engaged in.
Even if he was below 18 years and brazenly and blatantly engaged in such outrageous criminal acts, he could be seen as emancipated.
