I think he was just less overt than kinoti. His madharau was just chini ya maji without the Kinoti chest thumping.

You definitely cannot work with people who stabbed you outright in the chest, let alone in the back. Frankly, I am not surprised.

Career civil servants should be left alone and be insulated from day to day politics. They are there to serve successive political administration that change every other election cycle. In our system, only political appointees should be the ones to lose jobs for obvious reasons.

Any other competent officer would have done the same. It's very clear that it's Chebukati's role to announce presidential results. To the police, it's immaterial whether the results are true or not. Their job is to ensure that Chebukati announces the results. Kesi baadaye. This is how every officer should conduct himself.

It's in the same spirit that I argue that the police and other civil servants should be left to do their jobs without political interference. I hope hatutarudi Ile Dunia ya "unajua Mimi ni nani?". "Nitakupigisha transfer south Sudan!". Na saa hiyo makanga-mpig amekamatwa drunk driving akiwa Kwa accident with several 150s on tow.

There's wisdom in always treating people right also don't force people to sell their property to you or defraud them of their property.
