Kamau was on Tuesday, January 26, jeered by coffee farmers when he tried to solicit support for the BBI referendum process.
In a meeting with Agriculture CS Peter Munya, the deputy governor had been invited by MP Alice Wahome to greet the farmers.
The incident happened in Gacharage market where CS Munya had toured to educate farmers on the contents of the Coffee Bill.
The coffee farmers refused to hear his pleas to analyse the report shouting that the day was only dedicated to coffee issues.
“The purpose of the parents is to deliberate on the future of their children,” continued Kamau before local Deputy County Commissioner Caroly Nzwili cut him short to prevent a dispute.
CS Peter Munya yesterday completed his four-day tour of Murang’a where he addressed coffee farmers in Kiama coffee factory, Gatanga sub-county.
