My grandpa and one of his brothers were komereras.
I actually have an uncle by the odd name Komerera.
Komereras were the lowest rank of the Kenya Freedom Fighters Brigade- Privates in today’s Army ranking.
They used to live ordinary lives in the Village but gather intelligence on British Army movements, deployment and plans against the Maumau.
They were very effective in this role as they could tell Maumau when and where to ambush the British Army.
The British on their part came up with their own intelligence gathering Native corps popularly known as Kamatimu or colloquially Tukunias.
These were Villagers who would grass on the activities of the Komereras.
I give this long background to make the point that our Mt Kenya MPs are the modern day Kamatimus betraying and frustrating the interests of Kenyans and the Mountaineers.
Jambazi has bought them cheap and is screwing them hard to deliver and pacify the Mountain.
Good news is we now know them and will do our utter most to destroy them together with Jambazi.
