More freedom is here: KRA edition...

a very bad precedent is being set that will haunt Kenya for generations. But it all started in 2013.

Waluke will soon be cleared of all charges.

This is wrong on so many levels.
Kenyans should resist but unfortunately I wonder how the appointments can be rescinded.

My personal opinion is that the person to blame is Mwai Kibaki. He had the chance of getting Kenya on track when it comes to ethics, governance and corruption. He failed in a major way! When Kiraitu wanted to go after former president Moi, he stopped him. In 2004 one year after Kibaki had won elections, John Githongo would brief him about scandals but he did nothing and had to flee Kenya. In fact, in Githongo's book it's our turn to eat, he says he realized there was a big cobweb, and at the heart of it sat the president.

But is there hope in future? Absolutely none!

The current group (Ruto, Rigathi, Musalia, Weta etc) will probably be out of elective politics after 30 years because of age and having served their constitutional terms. So the next time we may see change is around 2052.

But should we hold our breath and hope for change in 2052? Absolutely not! The current young group of politicians who will make future presidents doesn't inspire either. Babu Owino, Jalang'o, Chesang, Sakaja, Ndindi Nyoro etc are all apprentices of the current old politicians. So 2052 and beyond will not be different from what we are facing now.

What about the church? They used to be the voice of the voiceless . Do we have any church leaders the likes of Timothy Njoya, Bishop Alexander Muge, David Gitari, Mutava Musyimi etc who can talk when things go wrong?

The end!

Then the Somali factor in the outfield.

Yeah ,there was a window of opportunity shortly after 2002 when we could have had real change. I remember when cases like when passengers arrested a traffic police officer for collecting bribes, and took him together with the loot to a police station. People believed after Moi there was going to be real change - no more corruption.

If Kibaki had ridden that wave things may have completely changed. As it is, people have just elected to go back the Moi Kanu way
