Militarization of Nairobi

Mimi iko na swali since it seems NMS is here to stay.
The satellite towns outside Nairobi County like Ng'ong, Athi River, Kitengela, Thika going forward are they ruled by the By- Laws of NMS ama zitakuwa ruled by respective County Govt?

If there is devolution how come governor Mike Mbuvi was allowed to unilaterally make a serious decision such as handing over Nairobi without the input of MCAs? Can Uhuru hand over Kenya to China without the input of MPs and senators? 🤔 :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: 😂 never mind, I answered my own question.

This is an indication that he has lost faith in civilians. Any civilian who can be accessed to fill such positions will always be indebted to someone else for some favor they received at some point, something that makes them easy to compromise. On the other hand, such officers survive on the reputation they have worked for through the years. They would be reluctant to ruin their track record over some income they did not expect. That said, it would be naive to expect the entire country to be tainted with corruption save for the disciplined forces. They too have their fair share of dirty deals.
 
I don't care as long as they do their job well. We need water in our taps, clean streets and general organization.

Once defence committee imeketi chini, looked at the secondment order/request from office of president/ministry of defence, and that secondment ikakubalika, that is the end of that persons military career. They are civilians now.

As for why they have been chosen, it could be due to the discipline that KDF has in comparison to other sectors in the country. These are people who are taught to put the mission first, not personal gain like many other people would do.
