Universities are asking first years to buy their own laptops, pay school fees and and be ready to purchase data bundles for online lectures. Learning to begin in July
TO: 1ST YEAR KUCCPS STUDENTS FOR 2020/2021 ACADEMIC YEAR
RE: INFORMATION ON ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION
This is to inform you that the University will register 2020/2021 First Years as detailed below:
1) Admission and Registration of Courses will commence from 1st July 2020 A detailed Guide on On-Line Admission and Registration of courses will be provided in due course.
2) For a student to be Admitted and Registered, he/she needs to:
a) Pay requisite fees indicated in respective Fee Structures as from 1st July 2020.
b) Requisite Fees is payable to any branch of Cooperative or Equity Bank with
details as follows;

NB: Fees can be paid via Mpesa Pay Bill as follows:

c) Students are advised to proceed with registration at least 24 hours after they have paid the fees. Fees will only reflect during week days between Mondays to Friday.
3) Any challenge experienced by a student who has paid fees as described in 2 above should be addressed to: [email protected] for immediate resolution.
4) Virtual Orientation of the University will take place between 6th to 10th July 2020 with the Vice Chancellor’s address scheduled on Friday 10th July 2020. A detailed Orientation programme will be provided in due course.
5) Training on On-Line learning will be held between 6th and 9th July 2020. Students are required to make arrangements to have access to their own laptop as spelt out in the Admission Letter as a requirement for this training.
6) On-Line Teaching for First Semester of 2020/2021 Academic Year will commence on Monday, 13th July 2020. Students are required to make arrangements to have access to their own laptop as spelt out in the admission letter as a requirement for On-Line Teaching.
7) Admission documents (Checklist; Letter of Acceptance by the candidate (AA/F001); Student's Personal Details (AA/F002); Medical Form (AA/F003); Library User Form (LIB/F003); Room Agreement Form and National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) should duly filled/prepared for submission to the University when On-Campus activities resume. Students will be informed on the dates of resumption of On-Campus activities in line with Presidential Directives in containing Covid-19 Pandemic.
