I sat with elders where I come from a month ago, they told me that they are seeing strange things especially with educated youths, they claim that it's a cultural renaissance, but they got it all backwards, in the olden days for you to qualify to use tobacco, you had to be an elder and have your oldest grandkids undergone the rites of passage from childhood to adulthood.

Nowadays a man still living in father's compound will use tobacco with reckless abandon.
