A piece of the selection fork broke. That piece got lodged in between gears and seized up the drive train. 140 kph to 0 kph in 10 seconds. Tremendous damage.

Yes, I can imagine the engine seizing, sprockets, chain and rear tire locking, squealing and skidding all over the place! Not funny at all. One day on a 'new' bike , I stalled it on third gear while making a slow turn. The stall caused the steering to suddenly turn and nearly broke my wrist. And this was at probably 3kph. Wueh!
