What I am telling you is the current meetings have no similarities at all with the activitiies of the criminal gangs of the past that lazy security agencies chose to give a generic name Mungiki. Is there anything in the men's meetings held at Kenol and Ruiru that has given you reason to worry?

You are still being naive, the leader of the brutal mungiki was still maina, if you allow such meetings to happen you will eventually end up with an animal that will need the military to kill....its like saying that the devil has changed. Mungiki are still extorting matatus if you do not know, there is a town they wanted to expand to in Nyeri and were chased away by the locals....but ofcourse the githeri media will not report it.

At least maina their leader aknowledges the atrocities they committed and argues he had permission from the president then.
Mungiki are not welcome back in central region, and mark my words, this is one more reason raila will loose in 2027 for associating with them.

One thing is for sure. Gachagua is up to the task and thank God, he is addressing the issue with all the seriousness it deserves.
Right now,a few boys who were misled in Nyeri have been taken to court and released on 10k bond each.
If the only task Gachagua executes successfully as deputy president is do away with this mungiki menace, he will have earned his position.

The then govt formed a squad to do bizarre things to tarnish mungiki. They would commit crimes and claim its mungiki. Maina Njenga is an Azimio Co-prinicpal. So what crime would kenyans have committed by attending a political rally held by the co-principal?

Maina njenga is mungiki, fullstop. Mungiki is unwanted anywhere in central Kenya.
The azimio narrative that Kikuyu youth are being profiled by being labelled mungiki is stupid.
Again who in his right senses would consider maina as a political leader?

Good question, we the great people of Laikipia county, have rejected him thrice. There should be a statute of limitations on the number of times a losing candidate should vie for political seats.
 
Truth be told , it is very hard to separate the tag mungiki from maina. And Gachagua will greatly improve his image by standing out as the leader against mungiki. No matter what the meetings are called, most folks still name them as mungiki meetings. On the other side maina has proved that his grassroot network is still in place, those crowds are shocking..

But anything in kenya is possible, if maina suddenly joins UDA and vies....
