Arnault, who has been chairman of Louis Vuitton since he acquired a 44% stake in the brand conglomerate in the late 1980's, is worth $196 billion as of Thursday. That's slightly more than Jeff Bezos' net worth of about $186 billion, according to Forbes.

Combined with a family holdings company, Arnault now owns 47% of Louis Vuitton, which had a total market value of $416 billion as of Thursday. The company, which owns brands including Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Bulgari, Tag Heuer, Sephora, and Hennessy, has seen its stock price soar more than 30% year-to-date.

This shows how misplaced priorities za watu are, how is a fashion company so big? Tech , manufacturing, all those are industries expected to make billionaires, but fashion?

A lot if not all of this brand, if you see or worn in Kenya is definitely a fake.
I don't know if there's any other brand that has been faked like this

This shows how easy it is to manipulate people into doing irrational and, sometimes, outright stupid things. If they can rope in a well-to-do demographic the way they have done, think of what happens to populations with less education and more life challenges to deal with.

There are a lot of brands under LVMH.

Some of them are Christian Dior, Givenchy, Kenzo and Fenty.

They also do jewelry and watches.

Peasant proverbs yada yada but hear me out.

Once you cross the $500k per month income (preferably passive income), you have won the financial game on the world stage (not local). A guy with properties worth $50M+ generating $500k or more has won.

Here's why:

That guy can live on any address on earth with that income. Rihanna's mansion was renting for $80k per month in Beverly Hills. Mansions in the most exclusive areas in California are usually listed for $50k per month. California has the most millionaires in the USA.

With that income, he can educate kids in any school on earth, charter private jets, drive the latest vehicles, afford trips to any location etc.

Basically, the difference in lifestyle between a billionaire and a guy worth say $50-$100M with $500k per month passive income is almost non existent. In fact, depending on tastes and preferences, the multimillionaire could live a better lifestyle than the billionaire.

The extra money billionaires have can only be used for other ventures such as space exploration, changing the world, charity etc but it does nothing to improve their lifestyle.

To me a $ billionaire is someone with more money than time, regardless of his age.

Yeah. Hata Zukabaga with his billions. Show me a guy making $500k per month passive income aged 35 and I can guarantee you that his lifestyle and Zuckerberg's are not that different. Qualitatively, their lifestyle is the same despite the monstrous difference in wealth. They live in the same neighborhood, educate kids in the same schools, fly using private jets, afford the same holidays etc.

The same applies locally. Show me a guy making 2M net per month and a billionaire. Their lifestyles are the same despite the big wealth difference. They enjoy the same lifestyle.
