Laikipia, update

Othello

Elder Lister
As they always do, bandits attacked on Wednesday night and went away with cattle from 3 homesteads. The KE police had an update

They were pursued yesterday but no cattle was found. As a result, the victims (with assistance of police and KDF) took away equal number of cows from Pokotis residing where the footprints disappeared. Dawa ya moto ni moto. They steal our cows, we take theirs( After all, there's no difference between pokotis and bandits). I don't know what will happen now coz those bloodthirsty madafakas really know how to revenge. They have ever revenged against samburus and it was messy and bloody. Right now, there's a lot of tension and people are expecting them to strike any time.

It might work or backfire. A Pokot who losses his livestock is almost unstoppable. I hope they resolve the situation peacefully.
But really, how do you resolve peacefully from people who have stolen literally from everyone? And yet you have done nothing that deserves this kind of treatment. I think we should also have vigilante to treat them the way they treat us

Why not deal with them the Saboat way?
I do not know exactly the mt elgon setup. But what I know is the area affected is really big. Laikipia nature conservancy alone is about 100k acres. Where they attack is even bigger than that. If you're to mobilize army to drive those guys without anyone left hiding, how many officers could be involved?

It's workable, it's already on the table as an option, there is no way people in 5 different counties can leave in apprehension of the ngorokos.

They should have done it like yesterday. Alaf as I said, ni ngumu kudetermine who's a thief and who's not. Labda wapigwe wote

Dealing with those people is extremely difficult. 1 week ago they shot someone who was grazing just 500m away from where army officers were. They had spent their time hiding in a maize plantation. Unless you line up the mazafakas and do the wagalla thing sioni ka watawahi wacha
I really don't know the setting there, but what if they cordon the whole area, say a radius of 20kms and start moving in? Anyone who's not a local anashikwa?
