KRA Head of Verification at Mombasa Port arrested

EACC has arrested KRA's Head of Verification at Mombasa Port Thomas Karubee for demanding KES.200K bribe in order to release a container. Complainant paid all taxes but the official could not release the container unless bribed. He has been escorted to EACC Msa for processing.

Hawa watu ni wa shetani....recently I had to clear mzigo ulikuwa umefika...jamaa exergarrated the tax cost by 25%... was ferking mad as hell. Called him and asked what the tax was about akasema that he will reduce the tax rate as long as I give him half of the 25% overcharge. Actually it was a her. I weighed my options na nikasema I will not be a victim of extortion and I need the goods immediately.

I opted to pay the exorbitant tax levied na nikasema afadhali serikali ikule hio pesa but giving in to extortion ndio nimekataa. Ferking biatch!

Report their activities to EACC anonymously. Post it here anonymously. The most idiotic thieves will filter out and get attention of the law enforcement fellas.

If you support corruption , don’t cry of cost of living being high because all traders will factor in these bribes onto the cost of products they sell .

What if one was to lie to all port officials thay they are under investigation to make them panick and lay low for a while. Then never complete the 'investigation'? I think kutakua na sanity for a while

Its obvious you have totally no clue on how things work.

Those who are supposed to investigate corruption at the port are in line waiting for their cut from the corrupt deals.

In some of the bigger corruption deals the money is gawanwad among 30 - 40 collaborating officials across 5 GOK agencies, KPA, police, custom's, KRA, DCI, ministry officials who all work together to execute the deal.

Now, imagine you are some naive honest employee in any one of those GOK agencies and you notice the corrupt stuff going on, ati you go to report to police or DCI or ports officials... ---->> river Yala
