The African Fish Eagle remains my favourite bird. When you watch it at its natural habitat (best place is one of the lakes, Baringo to be specific) as it watches prey, swoops down and catches it, you just have to marvel.

Such lovely places. I've camped on the shores of the lake, spent a few nights further ahead at Moi's Lake Bogoria Resort with their natural hot pool. Once went up to a place in the hills called Maji Moto and the streams had hot water.

I had the opportunity to visit lake Bogoria resort and I was there for hot 96 country music event some 2-3 months ago. It's one of the few spots where one sees nature in all its splendor. By the way UNESCO is planning to declare Baringo and Laikipia as eco-counties, as at last week.

huko kumejaa manyoka kubwa, we stopped to let a humongus python pass the road.
