Kisumu governor Anyang Nyongo suspends demos in the county, to join Nairobians

Kisumu governor is the talk of Social Media after he instructed the people of Kisumu to travel all the way to Nairobi to join opposition chief Raila Odinga in Nairobi for a mega protest.

Nyongo said the demos in the county are suspended indefinitely, and will only happen in Nairobi.

In a statement, Nyongo said the move came about after he had consultations with the leadership of Azimio La Umoja.
"All public demonstrations within Kisumu county have from today been suspended indefinitely so that we can join the demonstrations in Nairobi," the statement read

Nyongo also called on the people of Kisumu to work in tandem with law enforcement officers to maintain peace and security in the country.
