Kenyans obsession with catch phrases

Have noted, that some phrases are commonly adopted and have a widespread usages by everyone who keeps up with the Joneses of common culture the monkeys see, monkey do.
Examples of the current one is: kugongewa, we used to have, utajua haujui, utalamba lolo, and one that was widely adopted in the MCA's forum 'Wherewithal'.
Although it's part of the common culture, it irks the nonconformists among us and cheapens the social encounters, this is because, it's repeated over and over again, making it cliché-ish and it soon discarded.
Or maybe it's just me, an irritable middle aged man, who takes offence to things that concerns him not.

I like people who use such since I don't have to guess where they lie on the IQ scale.

Buzzwords come and go. They come, they steal the imaginations of a large number of people, then they are phased out by new ones.
